Getting to Know Me and Photo's

I have an idea. What if every time I do a post, I ask at the end a few questions, like 5, and you guys have to guess what my favorite thing is, like color or hair style. Then, I'll tell you if it is correct in my next post, and if you get it wrong, I'll tell you the actual answer. Would that be a good idea? You guys could put the answers in the comments. That way y'all can get to know me better. Do you like it?

I would right it like this: (This is only an example)

1. What is my favorite color?

2. What is my favorite kind of book? . . . ect.

Do you think this is a good idea? Then, if you guys also want, you can right questions below in the comments that you want to know about me. All you have to do is ask it then I'll put it up on my next post and I'll say who wanted to know, unless you don't want me to. That is fine by me.πŸ˜€

Anyway, I want to show you some pics from Christmas. Well, why I am is because I have some BEAUTIFUL pics (or yummy)  of food and presents and such. You ready? I'll tell you what is the deal with all of them.

These ones are of our beautiful Poinsettia. Our family got two for my family and our Grandparents. I didn't go and get it, but the rest of my family did, except for one of my older sister's.

These are ones of the Christmas cookies I did. I made so many Christmas cookies one year that I am kinda sick of them now . . . πŸ˜† I made these ones for my family and just ate a different dessert. Yeah, I ruined my appetite for them that year . . .

This one is from a Christmas light drive through thingy that I went to. It was small, and kind of cool, but my sister took all the pics on my camera, sooooo, that's why I can only put up one picture. This one was the best. The light show was on a campground. A family from our church did it. They own the        camp ground.

This handsome cat is Lumpy (As in Pooh's Heffalump Movie), my older sister's cat. We brought in the wrapping paper and he crawled into it! πŸ˜‚ He was sooooo cute. I just HAD to get a pic of him and         show you!!

And this last pis was of our Christmas tree this year with some of the presents under it! There was two HUGE (I MEAN HUGE!!!!) Presents, one growing to my youngest sister, and one to my dad. It felt so homey as we read the Christmas story this year. I liked this Christmas. I hope you did too. I hope you had a good Christmas.

Alrighty! I'm going to do 5 questions. Ready? Here we go!!

1. What is my favorite color? (There can be three correct answers to this)

2. What is my favorite type of book?

3. What is my favorite hair style?

4. What is my favorite thing to do out side? (There is two answer options)

5. What is my favorite kind of hat?

Do you like those questions? I'm going to call it Getting to Know Me . . . questions???? Well, got to go, bye!!

#9Ten Days of Christmas

I'm super sorry about not doing the post yesterday, but I will doit now. What are we doing today? Hmm, well, this is what I found...I think this is it...

Scripture. Okay, well, I have to go soon, so I can only right a short post. Sorry folks. Okay, we shall begin...

During Christmas time, everyone thinks Christmas is about presents and candy and sausage. Well, it is, but it also has a very important reason for being a holiday. It isn't just about the things I listed above. It's about the birth of Jesus. I have a few friends who have said their friends said that Christmas was canceled. Well, I have to tell you, it's not. Christmas can't be canceled. It can't?! If it is a holiday, and we are stuck at home and can't go to grandma's and grandpa's doesn't that mean it's cancelled? NO!

I think people need Christmas more then ever now. I am going to give you the Christmas story. Here...

 Luke 2

Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth. This was the first census taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria. And all the people were on their way to register for the census, each to his own city. Now Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was betrothed to him, and was pregnant. While they were there, the time came for her to give birth. And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock at night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood near them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army of angels praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace among people with whom He is pleased.”

When the angels had departed from them into heaven, the shepherds began saying to one another, “Let’s go straight to Bethlehem, then, and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.” And they came in a hurry and found their way to Mary and Joseph, and the baby as He lay in the manger. When they had seen Him, they made known the statement which had been told them about this Child. And all who heard it were amazed about the things which were told them by the shepherds. But Mary treasured all these things, pondering them in her heart. And the shepherds went back, glorifying and praising God for all that they had heard and seen, just as had been told them.

And... Mathew 2

Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.” When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him. And gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born. They said to him, “In Bethlehem of Judea; for this is what has been written by the prophet:

And you, Bethlehem, land of Judah,
Are by no means least among the leaders of Judah;
For from you will come forth a Ruler
Who will shepherd My people Israel.’”

Then Herod secretly called for the magi and determined from them the exact time the star appeared. And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the Child; and when you have found Him, report to me, so that I too may come and worship Him.” After hearing the king, they went on their way; and behold, the star, which they had seen in the east, went on ahead of them until it came to a stop over the place where the Child was to be found. When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. And after they came into the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary; and they fell down and worshiped Him. Then they opened their treasures and presented to Him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And after being warned by God in a dream not to return to Herod, the magi left for their own country by another way.

Isn't that amazing? (I copy and pasted this from something, that is why there is white behind it. And this. Blogger is messing up.) I think that is one of the most wonderful, Bible story's. There is many others that are wonderful, but this one is very good. Just beautiful. THAT is the true reason for Christmas. I hope you enjoyed this post, I got to go. Stay tuned on Tuesday for the reveal of the giveaway!! BYE! (Sorry about how I am writing this post. Blogger is acting weird right now...

#8 Ten Days of Christmas

Hello again!! It seems so weird that Christmas is next week!!!! I can't believe it!! Anyway, I'm guessing you are wanting to know what is next for the Ten Days of Christmas post. Well, I can tell you!! Here, I'll give it to you! Don't worry. :) I hope you are excited...

Activities. Well, this is going to be VERY fun!! There is tons of activities that we do every year, so I am going to try to remember them all...but I probably won't remember...πŸ˜‚ Okay...five activities that I do. Well, here goes...

1. Christmas Cards:

This is one activity we try to do every year, but sometimes we don't get around to it. I like to see all the cards that come in the mail, sometimes with a pic of the family...it always makes me feel so happy to see friends cards from a different state. *Sigh* I miss those people so much...

2. Decorating the Christmas Tree:

Some of these pics you may have seen when looking at this post. Well, anyway, like I said, every year it's one of our biggest activities to do. I can't say much more about this, other than, if you go to the post, then you can see it explained there...

3. Cookies:

I am kind of the baker\cooker in the family. I LOVE cooking\baking. Every year I get out my recipes and cookie sheets and start to make up a batch. One year I made Christmas cookies so much, that I now don't like them so much...πŸ˜† I still make them though for everyone else. There are a few other types of deserts I make, like fattiman, snowballs (Russian tea cakes), and krumkake (crumb caka).

4. Making Ornaments:

(I didn't make this one, but I got it from the internet. I can probably make one like this though.) I like to make homemade presents, such as ornaments. I usually get one per year from a grandma and grandpa, but I like to make mine or make one for other people.

5. Christmas Lights:

One of the other ones we do is put up Christmas lights. I love to take a drive with my family and look at lights. We always find at least one time to be able to do that. they make you feel cheerful and fun. I like to decorate even the inside of the house!! I usually would just help my sister though...

I need to leave, but...I will see you on Sunday, then one the 22nd for the giveaway!! That will be extremely interesting... Okay, I need to close this post. But if you want to see the other peoples activities that are participating in the Ten Days of Christmas blog post, then go to Beyond the Literary HorizonLittle Blossoms for Jesus, and Rebekah's Reading Room to see theirs!! Well, got to go, bye!!!

#7 Ten Days of Christmas

Hello again!! It seems so weird that Christmas is next week!!!! I can't believe it!! Anyway, I'm guessing you are wanting to know what is next for the Ten Days of Christmas post. Well, I can tell you!! Here, I'll give it to you! Don't worry. :) I hope you are excited...

Movies!! Well this should be interesting!! Okay, movies...what movies do I like? Well, before I dive into that, I want to talk about something we do every Christmas season. I guess I should have put it in the last post. If you want to see the last post of the Ten Days of Christmas, (which was about traditions) go Here

So, what I was going to talk about was right after Thanksgiving we start watching Christmas movies,  which we watch only Christmas movies till, after Christmas. Then we go back to normal movies. Anyway, I want to dive in and I bet you are to. (Not literal betting. I don't do that. That just waists time and money. Or whatever you are using for the bet. XD)

Alright, lets get down to business. I am going to name off five...

1. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

It doesn't mention Jesus being born in here, but it's still pretty good. You might have watched the animated one, but I like this one better. It's funnier. I recommend this if you know what the story is.

2. It's a Wonderful Life

I used to not like this one when I was younger, but that is because I didn't understand it. I like it know though. I would recommend it for all ages, but kids 10 and up would probably only get it. It is kind of confusing for younger kids...or at least it was for me. I actually really like this one. People may say it is boring, but if you get the point of the story then it isn't. This one I believe does mention Jesus. I think...

3. Elf

This one doesn't mention Jesus, but it very funny!! It has Santa in it, (I don't believe in Santa and my younger and older don't either. I'm sorry if I offend anyone.) This one makes you want to laugh and cringe. XD

4. Charlie Brown Christmas

This one does mention Christ. Most everyone knows about the Peanuts Treasury. This one is so cute and nice, I love this one. It's like 25 minutes, and it's super fun. This is for all ages.

5. Winnie the Pooh, a Very Merry Pooh Year

This one is for all ages also, and it's not just only about Christmas, it's also about the New Year. People think Winnie the Pooh as a little kid thing to watch, but I think adults can like it to. I guess I am going to be a kid forever then, because I love Winnie the Pooh!! XD

I hoped you liked this post. I had great fun writing it, and I like all these movies. I will see you in two days! (I hope.) I need to go, but if you want to see the other blog peoples favorite movies, then go to Beyond the Literary HorizonRebekah's Reading Room, and Little Blossoms for Jesus to see theirs!! Got to go, but I will try to see you in two days!! BYE!!

#6 Ten Days of Christmas

Okay, I am back! And right on time to!! Correct day!! Whew, I keep missing the days and I don't like doing that. Okay, so the next day of the Ten Days of Christmas!! I can't believe we are already on the 6th day!! Oh boy!! That means Christmas is almost here!! I don't know about you, but I think I am looking forward to Christmas more this year. It seems like everyone needs it. Everyone needs to know about the birth of Jesus. And what a better time when everyone is sad, confused, angry, and lonely feeling?

Okay, lets get down to business. Today is...

Traditions. This is going to be fun!! Okay, to start this off I am going to tell you about how we get our Christmas tree first.

So, right after Thanksgiving, me and my family find a Christmas tree farm to go to. We all bundle up to stay warm and we all pile out of our van after we arrive. We walk around, talking and pointing out trees.

Some people get cold, but I usually get to warm!! *laugh* Now that my good friends is weird. Anyway, we chop it down and one of the older people with almost all the littler kids pick it up and carry it back to the . . . what do you call it? You can't call it front desk or cash register because it is outside. Ummm . . . let's just call it . . . place where you buy trees?? Anyway, we go to the place where we buy trees and buy it. We then let them have it to put it thought this thingy to hold all the branches together so they won't flop around when we are bringing it home. Then we put it in our trailer. That's one of our traditions. We do it EVERY year.

The second one we do is decorate it. Everyone is there that still lives on the property. So we have our mom hand out all the ornaments and it's really fun because we all listen to music and talk. Then sometimes we watch a movie after if we got back home early enough for it. Here is some of the pictures I took of some of the ornaments . . .

After that, a few days after we set it up, our mom buys candy canes from the store to put on the tree. Then it's finished. Sometimes she has to buy more if we eat it before Christmas. *Sheepish grin* I really like to eat them. Then we go back to the normal routine. Until Christmas that is . . .

Then right before Christmas every year we wrap presents and finish Christmas shopping. Then on Christmas day, after everyone woke up we would start cooking Christmas breakfast and then we would read the story of how Jesus was born. I love this part because we all sit in the living room, and it is such a homey place at that time of year. Anyway, after we read it and eat we start to unwrap presents. It takes us almost all day!! then at the end we watch a Christmas movie and spend time together. I remember when I was younger, I would get up and wait for half an hour before I got inpatient and start to walk around the house stomping my feet a little and singing at the top of my lungs with my other sibling Jingle Bells. It was like the only song I knew how to sing slightly correctly. it may not sound bad to do that, but . . . ummm . . . my mom would stay up till past midnight wrapping presents, so she needed her sleep.

I hope you liked reading about my traditions. I need to go, but if you want, you can go to Beyond the Literary Horizon, Little Blossoms for Jesus, and Rebekah's Reading Room to see there traditions!
I loved making this post for you guys, but unfortunately I need to go. BYE!!!!
