Happy 4th of July!!

The 4th of July isn't just about a barbecue, friends, and fireworks. It's about something more. That something is freedom. The Lord has truly blessed this country, and the people living in it.

I am so glad the Lord has placed me in this country. I'm so thankful that He is still reining over all, and always will.

I, as a patriot, will stand for my freedoms. I will defend them, no matter what. And I will defend my Maker. Will you?

Happy Birthday America, and God bless all!

Popsicles!!

Hey-o friends! I don't have a lot of time to write a long post, so I am just going to tell you, and show you, about popsicles, the best deserts EVER!

So, I made some recently, and this is what they looked like.

They were SO good. I made a tropical kind and mango kind. They take like 3 hours to make, or 2 1/2 hours.

I will have to recommend, leave them in the freezer for about 1/2 an hour before putting the sticks in. If you want to know the different kinds of popsicles I have made, then just comment below! I will need to remind y'all that starting the first of July, you will not receive ANY emails from my blog. Go here to see suggestions on what to do about FeedBurner.

   Thanks all and God Bless!!

Pizza, A Reminder, And A Idea

I am back . . . again. Now, last week I promised to put pizza in this post, and I will. How am I to put pizza in this post, you may ask? Well, surprise surprise! I made pizza a little while ago, and am here to show YOU some pics and a recipe!!

I mean, my blog name isn't Culinary Scribbles for nothing! Is it?

Now, I should probably stop rambling, so . . . ONTO THE PIZZA!!!

Now, who here likes pizza? *Holds up hand and looks around expectantly* Good. I was hoping someone else did. XD

Now, I'll show you the pizza pics, and then tell you how to make it! (It literally only takes a few minutes, it's so easy!)

    Okay, here are the pics . . . :

They were SO GOOD when done! They were easy to make, and you can make whatever type you want. 😀

I do recommend eating it when hot, though. IF you don't it still taste good afterwards. 🤪

Now for the recipe . . . (BTW, This is not the recipe I used, but very similar. I accidentally misplaced my original one):

  • 2-2 ⅓ cups all-purpose flour OR bread flour¹ divided (250-295g)
  • 1 packet instant yeast² (2 ¼ teaspoon)
  • 1 ½ teaspoons sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛-¼ teaspoon garlic powder and/or dried basil leaves optional
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil + additional
  • ¾ cup warm water³ (175ml) (You might have to add a additional 1/3 cup!)

Mix it all together, flour a surface (Preferably a cutting board, but you don't have to if you don't want to ;D) spread out on pan evenly, add desired toppings,  and cook it at 425F for 13-15 minutes! And, now, you have a pizza! (If you have time, let rise for 30 minutes, and knead.)

It is SO yummy. At least, when I did it.

Now, onto the "reminder" that I put in the name of this post.

As you most likely know, FeedBurner is changing, and I'm not sure whats happening yet. So, after June 30th, you will not be receiving any emails of me putting up posts. I will (As you might have noticed) be putting up a post every Monday, if possible, as long as I am not gone or to busy.

So, in saying that, I would recommend, if you want, checking my blog every Monday or Tuesday. I will also recommend, that , in general, for ALL blogs that use FeedBurner, make a google docs or something like that and make a list of all the blogs that you go to.

Just a recommendation. I will try to figure SOMETHING out about FeedBurner, but I doubt I will figure something out that will work.

Moving on. Now, in my title i also said an idea, and I do have one. Now, i'm not sure if it's only me, but I feel like there isn't enough food in this blog to call it Culinary Scribbles. Am I right, or am I right? No? Yes? Everybody has a different opinion.

Okay, as I was saying, I think that it would be fun if YOU guys help me change that! 😁

How? You may ask? Well, in the comments I would REALLy like it if you suggest your favorite dishes, and I can try to make them!

Is that a good idea? *Chews nails nervously and looks around*

Yes? Well, I just thought it would be interesting, so I thought I would mention it. I would really like it if you did, but if you don't that is all good. (If you have more questions about it, ask below)

Well, this post has been kinda long, but fun. I need to leave now, so bye! It's been awesome to see y'all again!!👋

A NEW Book You Probably Have Never Heard of (And If You Have, It was From A Different Blog) Book Review

Hello my dear blogging friends! I am back here to tell you that I have a new book you have probably never heard of, but is a great time-travel, Christian book!

Now, you are probably wondering 2 things. 1: What IS this book, and 2: Can we see it?

Yes, my friends, you can. It is, as I said, a Christian book that has time-traveling in it! It's a pretty good book, if I do say so myself.

The name of the book is . . . Reflection by C. Everett

That cover is so cool, am I right?? This book isn't as well known, only a few people have read it, but trust me, it is worth it.

   My rating:

Why? Because this book is so great and fun! I love the characters in it, and I like this kind of thing! There is no bad words, but I will say that it is for 12-13 and up.

I need to leave, but this is a great book. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day! I'll (hopefully) do the next post with pizza involved with it.

   Bye and God bless!

Book Review!!!!! (Again! XD)

    Hello again faithful bloggers!!!

I am back again with ANOTHER book review!! This one is a cool, amazing, awesome book, that I again love, well . . . because. You'll see in a second!

The book I am going to talk about today is . . . Rebel Mind by P.D. Atkerson!!

This cover is awesome, and to one or two people I know, scary. This book is so great, full of lots of action that will make your head spin! It has a awesome plot to it, and if you go to the link I provided, then you can see it.

   My rating:

Why??!! Because it's so awesome!!! As I said in my last post, I like all of P.D. Atkerson's stuff because it's the kind of thing I like to read.

There are a few words like "heck" and "dumb" (I think. Sorry if I'm wrong) But personally I don't mind that.

Now that that is over, I have an announcement to make. I should have done it a long time ago. FeedBurner is making some changes, so in July you won't receive anymore emails when I post stuff. I'll try to find out what to do about it, but for now, your good.

I got to leave now, so bye!!

Hello Again And Book Review!!

Hello Hello Hello again my wonderful blogger friends!! I've missed blogging, but I am back now and I fully intend to jump back into the blogging sphere.

Any who, I'm so sorry I left y'all so long. *Sigh* Naughty me. So I am here with 2 book reviews.

The first one is Winnie Winfield and . . . (Embarrassment!) Christmas Hostage. Man it took me forever to realize that I never reviewed Christmas Hostage. Ugh. Okay, moving on. Both are from P.D. Atkerson . . .

Christmas Hostage

Great cover, right?? Such an awesome cover. This book comes between Phantom Thief and Guardian Eagle.

This has mild language, and a little violence. If you don't like action stuff, don't read this great book. Lee progresses so much and it's just so great, I love what he does for a certain person in here.

   My rating?

I absolutely love this book. Oh wait . . . I love everything P.D. Atkerson writes, so no surprise there. XD This book is good. I would say that it is for 12- 13 and up though.

Okay, the second one is . . . Winnie Winfield!

Another awesome cover! Man, they are so cool . . . Okay, any who, this one is just as great, or maybe even better, then the last one, Ghost Hunter. I really like this one, it's just so infuriating. I won't say why though. 😁

There is some mild language like "heck" and stuff, but it's pretty clean. I personally don't mind that stuff but some might, so I am putting that out there. It has some fighting scenes, and some REALLY funny ones (IF you have read it, you know what I mean 😂)

   My rating?

Again a five star because it's great. XD Again I would say it's for 13 and up though. great action, humor, and fun scenes.

Well, got to run, BYE!! It's great to be back!

                                     God Bless!!

2 Book Reviews!!!

Hello all again!! I'm here with two books to show you!! Actually, two short books. Both of them from the Simon Lee series, by P.D. Atkerson

They are called . . . Most Wanted and Not Enough. Those are the two I'm talking about, obviously.

   This is Most Wanted.

It's such a a good short story. It comes in between Ghost Hunter and Winnie Winfield.

   I say it is a . . . :

Yep, that's right. A five star. It's such a good book, and you CAN NOT read it unless you have read Ghost Hunter at least. It has words like stupid and heck, but other then that, it's fine.

   This is Not Enough.

It's such a . . . sad book. it makes you angry, and sad at the same time. Again, a:

So sad, but so good. I LOVE Winfield in here. It comes in between Winnie Winfield and Rebel mind. SUCH A GOOD BOOK. Again, you can not read it till after at least Winnie Winfield.

Love it so much. Both books. Now, I got to run, bye! Thanks for stepping over here. Make sure to check these out. They are great.

Note: I will not be posting for the month of May. I am going on a trip and will not be here until June. So, expect some more in June, just not May. ;D

Spring! AND Cookies!

Hello again blogger friends! I'm back, and to show you, 1: pics of spring, and 2: to show you some cookies!

Alrighty, lets get down to business. Winter was here, bleary and grey, and then, BOOM, out of nowhere, spring appeared. Any one else in a agreement?

I mean, I was getting tired of winter, and was looking forward to it, and then it was there, out of the blue, and I was so happy. Here is some pics of flowers on our property that I took . . .

I mean, how pretty are those pics??!! I know it is a lot, but I just had to show them all. Any who, as soon as spring came, summer was like, "Move over Spring, I want to come forward!" Like, quiet literally. A week or so after spring came, summer appeared, blaring and hot in the 70's-80's. It's not actually summer of course, but it sure feels like it. XD But it feels so good at the same time though.

AND . . . I now have some cookies to show you, and a recipe!! Here are the pics . . .

Good, right?? The top one is plain M&M cookies, and the bottom is Reese's pieces cookies. Sooooo good. And, now the recipe . . . if of course you want to have this delicious desert.

M&M cookie recipe (This was off of a chocolate chip bag, BTW. ;D):

3/4 cup (1/2 sticks) butter, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 TBSP vanilla extract

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 cups all purpose flower

2 cups chocolate chips, or M&M's, or Reese's pieces

Preheat oven to: 375 degrees Fahrenheit

Combine butter, sugar and brown sugar in bowl. Blend with until smooth/ or fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Mix throughly with an electric mixture (Or just a hand mixer) on medium speed. Add baking soda and salt. Slowly add flower until throughly blended. Fold in chocolate chips, M&M's, or Reese's pieces.

Bake on ungreased cookie sheets for 12 minutes or until desired doneness.

Yields about 45 cookies.

Takes about an 45 minutes to an hour.

They are SO good when your done. Any who, this has been so fun, but I got to run. BYE!
